LDO Box Turtle Build In Progress!

To kick off 2025, I started an LDO Box Turtle build. The idea behind this project is to bring multi-filament changing capabilities to open source / klipper based machines, like the Voron 2.4, Trident, and VzBot to name a few. So far, the project has been a lot of fun! But it is definitely an ambitious one. I’m taking my time, balancing my workload between family obligations, an increased workload at my day job, etc. On the plus side, it’s a great project to come home to and work on in the cold, midwest winter.

I am creating a Youtube video series in my typical “tutorial” style. If you’re tired of searching through livestreams to find out how to do something, this is the video series for you! So far, the average video for each section of the manual is less than 15 minutes, but I’ve only gotten through the frame and extruder builds as of this blog entry.
